Introduction

I just thought that a small introduction would be the best thing to start with. So, let me first start with myself and this blog.

Blogging

Many who have been using the internet for a long time are unaware about blogs and blogging even now. So, I have decided to start off with an introduction to blogging, and to have more informative posts following this.

Blogger Vs Wordpress

Undoubtedly, Blogger and Wordpress take-up the top two positions with all other blogging platforms way behind them. Both of them are famous for their simplicity, stability, and user-friendly nature.

What Is Spam?

Posted by Lance Quest On Monday, April 06, 2009
All of us must have often heard or seen people saying the word "spam", and some of you might have already dug around a lot about it. But, most of the internet population, even after coming across this word, might have still not understood clearly what the word means. Actually, spam has different forms.

Among all the different forms of spam, the widely recognized form is e-mail spam, which is one of the worst things that haunt an ordinary internet user.

Even after e-mail spam had been declared illegal in 'some' jurisdictions, there are still many countries where the spammers take advantage of their locality, where spamming does not lead to legal trouble for them.

An industry of e-mail address harvesting is dedicated to collecting email addresses and selling compiled databases. Some of these address harvesting approaches rely on users not reading the fine print of agreements, resulting in them agreeing to send messages indiscriminately to their contacts.

The term "spam" is applied to similar abuses in other media with different nicknames for ease, instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, Online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, and file sharing network spam.

This is the most simple and common definition for the word "Spam", as accepted by the majority of the internet world.

Spam is the abuse of electronic messaging systems (including most broadcast mediums, digital delivery systems) to send unsolicited bulk messages indiscriminately.
